India Rush SC showcased their prowess on the rink during the recent Bandra Gymkhana Annual Open Rink Hockey Tournament held on April 27th and 28th, 2024, in Bandra. The tournament witnessed stellar performances from multiple teams representing India Rush SC across different age categories.
India Rush U14 Girls Triumph in Finals
The India Rush U14 girls' team displayed exceptional skill and determination, securing their place in the finals after a series of impressive victories. They defeated Navi Mumbai City School, Carmel of St Joseph, and Durello Convent in consecutive matches to secure their spot in the championship game. In a thrilling final showdown against St. Theresa, the India Rush U14 girls emerged victorious with a scoreline of 4-2. Ikra Sorathiya stood out as the Best Player of the finals, showcasing remarkable talent and leadership on the rink.
India Rush U14 Boys Showcase Tenacity
The India Rush U14 boys' team demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the tournament. Despite facing tough competition, they managed to secure their spot in the semi-finals after a draw against St Stanislaus and victories against Bosco B. In the semi-finals, they faced a formidable challenge against Bosco A, ultimately losing with a scoreline of 3-0. Although they fell short in the finals, their performance was commendable, with standout players contributing their best to the team's efforts.
India Rush Senior Men Shine in the Finals
The India Rush Senior Men's team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, displaying their skill and experience on the rink. They navigated their way to the finals with impressive victories against Western Railway, CTC, and Mumbai Port Trust. In the championship match against Custom, the India Rush Senior Men emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-0. Venkatesh Devkar, a key player in the team, showcased exceptional talent and leadership, earning him the title of Best Player of the finals.
