Man City Champions League Ban an eye opener

Premier League Champions Manchester City owners buy a majority stake in Mumbai City FC, it was the biggest news this season for Indian football. The UEFA now penalizing EPL Club Man City with a two-year ban from the UEFA Champions League and a monetary fine for violation of Financial Fair play rule, has certainly got the world football's attention.

The impact of the ban looks pretty serious for the club as well as the players, if we go by the  headlines of few popular news website,

  • Bayern Munich could get Leroy Sane for free if Manchester City’s ban is upheld
  • Man City 'could have Premier League title stripped' after Champions League ban

The UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations (FFP) were established to prevent professional football clubs spending more than they earn in the pursuit of success and in doing so getting into financial problems that might threaten their long-term survival and also to provide a level playing field for the competing teams.

Back in India, while football is growing in popularity, many I league clubs like Mumbai FC, Pune FC and Bharat FC, have shut shop, even ISL Clubs have not been spared with Pune City closing down and Delhi Dynamos shifting base to Odisha.

The pressure to win the title in a short time by signing the best players comes at a cost. Developing good players through youth development with rising expectations and competition too has a high cost. To sustain and attain stability within the scarce revenue streams in absence of assistance from the FA and Government falls on the shoulder of the Club.

India Rush SC fields more than 20 Youth and First teams in the official MDFA, AIFF tournaments playing a full season from May to April. By providing globally proven methodology, best available infrastructure, certified and experienced coaches and quality services, India Rush SC ensures Winning titles and Player scouting for District, State, India, and International Club.

The cost of providing such services and scholarships is very high in comparison to the modest sponsorship by kind parents and fees paid by about 50% of parents. To develop the Player the club needs stability for providing the best and ensuring it should be the responsibility of the Club and the Parents, in the best interest of the Child's development.

As the 2019/20 season for India Rush SC is poised to end on a high (Wining fair and Square), the best football club from Mumbai has planned for a strong start for  2020/21. India Rush SC is committed to giving the best to the community, with support from parents and sponsors,
