Khelo India Youth Games is a part of the revamped national program for development of sports, Khelo India, by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It is introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and establish India as a great sporting nation. It emphasizes the invaluable importance of sports and fitness in a person’s life and inculcating a strong spirit of participation in sports that enables players to demonstrate their true potential.
India Rush SC Assistant TD George Lawrence was appointed as the Maharashtra U17 team selector which he executed in the spirit of fairness and dignity the role demands. The Maharashtra team went on to win the Bronze Medal.
Star player from India Rush SC Sujal Ghanekar was instrumental in winning the Bronze Medal for team Maharashtra.
