IRSC - KKR qualify for Playoffs at U20 Youth League

'We can only improve by playing against top teams' - Igor Stimac, India Men's National Team Head Coach on friendlies against Oman, UAE

We cannot agree more, it cannot get more real than this. Matches against top teams are the way to go for player development as well as for the team. Having said, it’s not easy as wishing it, but if there is a will there will always be a way.

Thanks to the guidance of our International Technical Directors since 2012 and current TD Augusto D'Silva, India Rush SC since its inception has built on the Rush philosophy of playing matches against higher-level teams. The AIFF Academy Youth League though an expensive affair for the club was a move in the right direction. The long-term player development pathway designed for our players to develop in a demanding environment in the USA, Portugal, and UK has been a revelation.

The 2020-21 season is a near whitewash for our Elite players due to the cancellation of tournaments, but to provide our elite player quality match time, the club decided to participate in the U20 Youth League, being held in Mumbai, It’s 21 teams, 10 matches over 7 weeks. The matches will provide elite players like Ridge D, Sujal G, Zeeyan N, Anson T, Aman S, Rohan M, Ravi R, Vinay K, Aman K, Aman D with a perfect platform to maintain and improve their performance. It is also providing promising players like Yeshwant N, Jordan N, Lance F and others with match experience through player rotation policy, another important aspect of Rush Philosophy.

The Blue Nation team under Head Coach Taposh Gosh , a former I league Player assisted Coach George Lawrence has not only guided the team in winning all 6 matches to top the pool but also accomplished a phenomenal feat of being the only team to do so among the 21 teams. The India Rush SC team will now move on to the next round-robin phase playing two matches, before the semi-finals and the finale. India Rush SC is thankful to our sponsor Mr. Kandhari for his belief in the club.

The Rush Philosophy resonates with Indian National Team Head Coach Igor Stimac’s statement and the success of our players and teams is the proof. As a club, we certainly had our hiccups due to the pandemic just like clubs all over the world, but we are absolutely focused on our purpose and unwavering in our passion for the development of players.

Going forward more levels are being introduced for the player to play consistently at the top level in India and International. Programs Starting April'21 - Training for MDFA 1st Division and MDFA | AIFF Youth League. For details contact 99674 90648.
