Juggling Challenge to stay active

The fear of judgment holds many women back from getting active is proven by extensive studies. Which in turn deprive women of the physical, mental, emotional, social and economic benefit of an active lifestyle.

We want people to know the benefits of an active lifestyle and it’s perfectly normal just having fun while getting active. Moving and making time for your health doesn’t need to be a chore, and with so many activities on offer, we’re on a mission to help women find something that feels right for them. 

Our campaign #WeSportWomen in 2018 on AFC Women’s football day and International Women’s Day, gave us the direction for actively supporting women’s empowerment through sports. As a part of the campaign, India Rush SC women’s team went on the lift the Maharashtra Champions crown and became the first from Maharashtra to qualify for the AIFF IWL final round held in Shillong.

The theme for this year #IamHappyIamActive promotes the intrinsic human nature of wanting to be happy. According to a new study published in the Journal of Happiness Studies, the frequency and level of physical activity have a direct effect on happiness as well. The odds of being happy are even better for active people as compared to those who are not.

To promote an active lifestyle for women through what we know best, we will kickstart the campaign with the Juggling challenge. The objective is to teach how to juggle and explain the benefits of juggling.

  • Improve brain connectivity
  • Relieve stress and worries
  • A new challenge will give a new perspective and ideas
  • Develop focus and concentration
  • Most importantly, it will make you happy because you are active!

Take up the challenge

  • Step 1: Accept the challenge
    • Post comment: Post comment “I accept your @......... #Juggle4Happiness challenge
  • Step 2: Record your video doing the juggle
  • Step 3: Post the video on Facebook / Twitter / Instagram and nominate 3 girls/women to take up the challenge
    • Simple Post comment “I accept your challenge @............ Here’s my video for the #Juggle4Happiness challenge. I’d like to nominate my friends, @..........., @......... and @........  Great initiative @IndiaRushSC! #IamHappyIamActive”
  • You can be creative with your juggle and comment; you can also tell us what being active means to them and what you had to overcome it.
  • Don’t forget to add the hashtag #Juggle4Happiness #IamHappyIamActive #IndiaRushSC

  • Once you are nominated you have 3 days to learn and post your video doing 10 juggles to complete the challenge.

Learning to juggle is quite simple and 15 mins practice every day will develop your skill exponentially! Watch the video

  • Step 1: Ball in hand – 1 juggle – Catch the ball in hand
  • Step 2: Progress to the ball in hand – 2 juggles – Catch the ball in hand
  • Step 3: Add more juggles!
